I’m sending you little story, and I named it “Snip-It’s”. This was not originally written with the intention of becoming a full blown story, but somehow my brain always takes everything I write in that direction.
Recently, I went through a difficult time and it affected my ability to write. A friend of mine, who gives me a lot of advice, some of which I actually listen too, gave me two very good suggestions. First, she told me that if a person can survive trauma and learn a positive lesson from it than it was worthwhile life experience. She told me stop trying so hard and to write little “Snip-It’s” To just put little bits and pieces down on paper but they had to be positive and happy. The purpose being to bring good thoughts to the surface and in that process I would begin to enjoy what I was writing and hopefully the results would be better.
The other piece of advice she gave me was that when you’re a kid you can’t chose your family but you can chose your role models. It’s your choice, pick good ones or pick bad ones. I think I have picked some good ones.
I have used my role models as the basis for the love and devotion and guidance that I believe had to have been present within the Hanson family in order for Isaac, Taylor and Zachary to have turned to out be such remarkable talented young people. I don”t know them, have never met them, and I mean them NO disrespect in writing this story based on them. This is totally fictional. Writing, to me, is taking a couple of facts and characters and weaving all the imaginary middle in between them. That is what I have done. Again, I do not mean Hanson or their parents any disrespect or invasion of privacy. This is totally fictional. If you have any comments, both good and bad, I can take it, and yes, I know I still have a problem with compound sentences.
